Holly Dern, 48, passed away Saturday, January, 14, 2012, after a battle with cancer in Houston, TX. Holly was born in San Antonio, TX, on March 29, 1963. However, she lived in the Houston, TX area most of her life. After graduating from University of Houston, she worked as a school teacher in the Greater Houston area. After retiring from teaching two years ago, she ran her own sewing and custom embroidery business. Holly was a member of the First United Methodist Church – Missouri City. She is survived by her husband, David; daughter, Haley; mother, Jan Neff; and brothers, David and Charles Neff. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012 in the Sanctuary of First United Methodist Church of Missouri City, 3900 Lexington Blvd., Missouri City, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously suggests that donations be made in Holly’s name to Ridge Point Band Boosters, 9119 Hwy 6 South, Suite 230-131, Missouri City, TX 77459.
