Patricia Ann Parker Bratton, born October 29, 1923 beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 5, 2012.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Johnnie Jackson Bratton. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Bratton Shoemake; son, Michael John Bratton and wife Ruth; and daughter, Linda Bratton Weeks and Ronald W. Johnson; grandchildren, Sheri Shoemake, Shawn Shoemake, Patty Bratton, Stephanie Bratton Covey and husband Jaime Covey, Michael J. Bratton, Jr., Stephen Joseph Weeks, II, Jason A. Weeks and wife Brynn and Jennifer N. Weeks; great-grandchildren, Sydney Lucatero, Shelton, Walker and Wyatt Shoemake, Cody and Landi Thomas, Josh and Ashley Pope, Tristen and Trevor Covey, and newest great-granddaughter, Penelope Elizabeth Weeks.

Patty was a wonderful, caring and giving homemaker, mother and grandmother. She expressed her civic pride by working early voting for over 10 years until she became disabled.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Bratton, Shawn Shoemake, Michael Bratton, Joey Weeks, Jason Weeks and Ron Johnson.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2012 in the Miller Funeral Chapel, 7723 Beechnut, Houston, TX 77074. The Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, January 13, 2012 at Houston National Cemetery Chapel, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
