Mary Corbin Wolfram

Mary Corbin Wolfram passed away on March 28, 2017, at the age of 96. She was born on May 7, 1920 in Aspinwall (Pittsburgh), Pennsylvania, where she grew up and graduated from Edgewood High School, and later attended Margaret Morrison Carnegie College (the women’s college of Carnegie Mellon University). She married William Robert Wolfram on September 13, 1944. They moved to Houston in 1960. She was very active in the Episcopal Church including Altar Guild, Trash and Treasure Resale Shop (Grace Episcopal Church), Episcopal Church Women and the Meyerland Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, a WWII Navy veteran, and is survived by her son, Dr. W. Robert (Bob) Wolfram, Jr. and wife Melinda; daughter Marcy Zewan and husband Jim of Gardnerville, NV; five grandchildren, Victoria Wolfram, Dr. Martha St. John and husband Derek, William R. (Billy) Wolfram III and wife Casey, all of Houston; Rebecca Scharer and husband David of Windsor, CA, Matthew Zewan and wife Sarah of Melissa, TX; and nine great grandchildren: Jacob, Avery and Blake St. John, Landon, Clay and Jackson Wolfram, and Cody, Valery and Troy Scharer.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Grace Episcopal Church, 4040 West Bellfort Blvd., Houston, TX, 77025. Interment will be at Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made to Grace Episcopal Church.
