Roberto G. Paz

Robert G. Paz, 79 peacefully came to rest as he passed from this world to the next at his home after a long struggle with cancer surrounded by his family on October 7, 2017.
He was born in Brownsville, Texas on October 30, 1937 to Carlos & Navara Garcia Paz. Robert proudly served in the United States Army upon his high school graduation. Following his military service, he moved to Houston to study Diesel Engineering at the University of Houston. Always following his entrepreneurial spirit, he owned several businesses throughout his career including a Shell Service Station with his longtime friend, Mort Jacobowitz.
Robert was a devoted family man and is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Beatrice Soliz; three children, Sonya Ramirez and husband Dudney, Erika Paz, Robert Malcolm Paz and wife Sally; three grandchildren, Ryan Ross Dudney, Johnathon Roy Paz, Ava Maria Paz; five siblings with loving memories to cherish, Maria Isabel Garcia, Porfiria Rubio, Fidencio Paz, Ignacia Paz, Herminia Lopez and Rebecca Chavez. He is preceded in death by parents, Carlos and Navara Paz; siblings, Consuela Guajardo and Antonio Paz.
Robert was a kind, loving father, grandfather, husband and friend. He never met a stranger and had a way of becoming friends with everyone he met. He will be deeply missed.
A Visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Chapel, 7723 Beechnut, Houston TX 77074 on October 12, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be a held on October 13, 2017 at 10 am.
