She met the love her life, Jim Gorman, in Houston, Texas. Debby and Jim married on June 24, 1959 at St. Christopher’s Catholic Parish in the chapel. Committed to her Catholic faith, Debby became a religious education teacher for children with special needs at the St. Francis de Sales parish. Debby was also a founding member of St. Francis de Sales Parish. For five years, Debby was the President of the Sharpstown Garden Club until 2016. She hosted and facilitated countless meetings and events for the garden club members.

Debby was the best wife and mother ever. She loved entertaining and spreading her love and care to others. She loved her family and friends unconditionally. She was always lending a hand or ear. She could brighten any room with her contagious smile, positive attitude, and charm. In keeping with her homemaking skills, she was also known as the “cake making lady” for all celebrations in the family and otherwise.
