Obituary for Donna L. Bearden

Donna Lewis Bearden, 71, loving daughter of Don and Georgia Kramer, passed from this life on August 8, 2018, into the arms of our Savior with her beloved companion Anthony Mazzeo and her extended family at her side.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her cousin, Katherine Day of Atlanta, Georgia; best friends, Gail Ratcliff of Austin, Meta Tyler of Houston, Janice Kinter of Los Angeles, Marilyn Lawhead of San Diego; five beloved god children and a host of loving friends. To them all she was loving, caring, compassionate and generous. She was always concerned about others – especially her dear friends who attended the 5:00 o’clock service at her church.

Donna was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on November 9, 1946. During WWII, the family moved to San Antonio, where her father served in the Air Force Medical Corps. They later made their home in Fort Worth, where Don opened Kramer Dental Lab and her mother worked for Lockeed-Martin.

Donna graduated from Eastern Hills High School in Fort Worth in 1964, earned her undergraduate degree from UT-Arlington in 1968, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta, and received her MBA from Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio in 1977.

In 1972, Donna moved to Houston, where she would work for Hycell-Berhinger-Mannheim, started Bearden Marketing Associates, Inc., and later, with her business partner and good friend, Larry Noriega, would create Spinnaker Health Partners in 1998. She was the current President of the Briargrove Townhomes HOA.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 in the afternoon on Monday, August 20, 2018, in the Chapel of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, 2450 River Oaks Blvd., where the Rev. Charlie Holt will officiate. The inurnment will be held in the Garden of the Resurrection.

Immediately following the service, friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family in the Church Parlor. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her memory to St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, Houston Hospice or a charity of your choice.
