Obituary for Norma Jean Garcia

Norma Jean Garcia, 58 entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at home, with family and friends at her side. Norma was born on July 29, 1959 to Guadalupe and Esperanza Soza in Richmond, TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents Guadalupe & Esperanza Soza; three siblings Guadalupe, Stephen and Sylvia.

She is survived by her husband Ernest of 38 years; two children, Ernest G. and wife Ashley; Merrisa M. Garcia; two grandchildren Audrina & Elicia Garcia; siblings, Martha, Olga, Emily, Yolanda and numerous nieces and nephews all of whom she loved very much.

Norma was a very loving, kind and humble but also a strong and gentle woman. All she had to do was give you that look and you knew you had crossed a boundary. Her greatest joys and accomplishments were being a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed her home and her family, she loved shopping and being outdoors with her husband and grandchildren. She loved each and every one of them – they were the joy and love of her life.

A Visitation will be held on January 17, 2018 from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Miller Funeral Services, 7723 Beechnut, Houston, Texas 77074. The family will also except friends and family from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm on January 18, 2018 with a Rosary to be receded at 12:00 pm with a small reception to follow in the Celebration of Life House from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
