Obituary for Olga Smith

Olga R. Smith left us June 20, 2018. Daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, she was generous and laughing in life. She was born in New York City, New York, on July 6, 1925 and was a divisional manager at the Pasadena, Texas, Sears. Her husband, Clyde J. Smith, died in 1992.

She leaves behind sister, Maria Olsen and husband Jim of Warner Robins, Georgia; brother, Pete Lopez and wife Jean of Mesa, Arizona; cousin, Blanca Zaboly; daughters, Loreine Smith of Dallas, Texas, Karleen Koen and husband Tim Payne of Houston, Texas, Jeannine Stewart and husband Randall of Reno, Nevada; son, Paul Smith and wife Imaru of Katy, Texas; caretaker and former daughter-in-law Diana Dry Smith of Katy, Texas. Her daughter, Carmen Rawlinson, died in 1995.

Beloved grandchildren include, Samantha Martinez of Houston, Texas, Blake Koen of Houston, Texas, Jason Rawlinson of Fouke, Arkansas, Joseph Rawlinson of Fouke, Arkansas, Jacob Rawlinson of Fouke, Arkansas, Eugene Rawlinson of Katy, Texas, Rebecca Williams of Fouke, Arkansas, Angelina Stevens of Texarkana, Arkansas, Amy Smith of Katy, Texas, Amber James of Katy, Texas, Jana Smith of Katy, Texas, Keely Williams of Tomball, Texas, Paul Smith Jr. of Katy, Texas, Johnathan Speakman of Fort Collins, Colorado, Mary Kate Stewart of Carson City, Nevada, and Carmen Stewart of Houston, Texas. She leaves behind 31 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held July 28, 2018 at Bolin Chapel/Katy First Baptist Church in Katy, Texas. A private interment of ashes will be done in Arkansas in October.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to your local Alzheimer’s Society.
