Obituary for Sharice Renée Brown

Sharice Renée Brown, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at her home in Houston, TX. Sharice Renée Brown was born in Panama City, Panama on May 17, 1981, to Gerald and Gwendolyn Lorraine Brown. She grew up in a military family and lived most of her life in Aurora, CO. Sharice attended Gateway High School with two of her dearest friends Tamera Perry and Monica Fields, their friendship was an unbreakable bond. Sharice received her diploma from Aurora Public School District. She attended the Community College of Aurora and later transferred to Grambling State University. Sharice loved Louisiana especially, Mardi Gras and the Bayou Classic. She loved to laugh, enjoyed life, and being with friends and family. It is in Louisiana that she met James “Tulu” Gipson and began a new journey in her life, motherhood. Sharice was the mother of Jayani and Croix Brown, she loved them both dearly and tried to do everything for them. Sharice was always a hard worker and eager to learn new things. Through work she met Keyanah “Key-Key” Holmes and they developed a friendship and bond through motherhood. Whenever times were tough, by the Grace of God, she was able to get back up and start anew. Her family and friends always behind her, encouraging her, and giving sound advice when needed.
Sharice is survived by her mother Gwendolyn L. Brown; children, Jayani and Croix; sister LaTanya Brown; grandmother, Mary Mitchell; grandfather, Albert Mathis, Sr.; great-great uncle, CSM (Ret.) Curtis Womack; uncle, Albert Mathis Jr., aunt, Hilaria Mathis; aunt, Denise James; uncle, Frank James; aunt, Diana Coney; uncle Michael Pridgen; uncle, Dennis Neal; uncle, James Parker; Cousins, Marquis Neal, Andre Neal, Tasheen James-Salami, Albert Mathis III, Jeanette Mathis, Gerald Mathis, DeVonté Mathis, Donte Pridgen, Jodona Brown, Jamica Parker, James “Jamar” Parker, and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Gerald Brown; great-grandmother, Rose Brown; grandmother, Rose Mathis; grandfather, Marshall Pridgen; and aunt, Grace “Judy” Parker.
Love and memories of Sharice will forever be in our hearts.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on June 23, 2018 at Calvary Chapel Aurora, 18900 E Hampden Ave, Aurora, CO 80017.
