Obituary for Wanda Johnson Campbell

Wanda Johnson Campbell, 74, wife of late William Warren Campbell, died Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX. A native of Corpus Christi, TX, she was the daughter of the late Everett Johnson and Adell Johnson Spencer.

She was a retired teacher from the Pickens County School District where she taught chorus and general music at Six Mile Elementary, Liberty Middle School and Liberty High School for more than 30 years. Mrs. Campbell also served as Choir Director at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church for over 20 years and sang in several choral groups including the Holy Trinity Episcopal Choir, St. Jude’s Episcopal Church Choir, the Greenville Chorale and the Foothill Chorale.

She is survived by son, Michael Warren Campbell of Houston, TX; daughters, Carrie Rebecca Campbell of San Jose, CA and Jennifer Page Hendricks of Six Mile, SC; brothers, Virgil Roy Johnson and wife Nan of Tarpon Springs, FL and Johnny Johnson of Pendleton, SC; and three grandchildren, Kimberly Bearden, Sarah Hendricks and Harris Banks.

A Memorial Service will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Clemson at 3:00 pm on Thursday, July 26, 2018. The family will receive friends following the service in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Holy Trinity Church, 193 Old Greenville Hwy., Clemson, SC 29631.
