Obituary for Elizabeth Suarez Acosta

Lisa Suarez Acosta, 57, passed away on January 18, 2019 following a sudden and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in San Benito, TX on May 6, 1961.

Lisa grew up in Rosenberg, Texas and attended Lamar High School. Following high school, she worked at Frito Lay until 1992, when she moved to Arizona and later Colorado. She returned to Rosenberg in 2006 and spent several years working for Fort Bend ISD and Lamar ISD
.
Lisa is survived by her parents, Esteban and Tina Suarez; daughters, Ronda Gail Suarez and Krisy Alexander; granddaughters, Aaliyah Rae and Ashleigh Rayne; brothers, Eric Suarez (wife Monica), Eloy Suarez (wife Frances), Steven Suarez (wife Belinda), Lionel Suarez (wife Tammy); sisters, Edna Guebara, Esther Chance (husband Collin), Sylvia Latapie (partner Matt); nephews, Donney Guebara, Antonio Suarez, Tomas Suarez, Ryan Garza, Stevie Suarez, Nico Suarez, Michael Latapie, and Mason Latapie; nieces, Michele Olguin, Krystle Sanchez, Stephanie Suarez, Jennifer Suarez, Devin Chance, Haley Chance, Heaven Uesele, Hayden Chance, and Piper Chance.

Lisa was selfless and always put others first. She loved life! She traveled extensively across the U.S. She also enjoyed sports, from cheering her nieces and nephews at sporting events to being a diehard Texan fan. During her illness, she felt the love, support, and prayers from family, friends, and the community.
