Obituary for Kim Wesley Jones

Kim Wesley Jones was born in San Antonio, Texas to Charles Wesley and Jennette C. Jones on August 9, 1952. He married Mary Kay Heitman July 16, 1977 at The River Oaks Garden Club. They were married for 41 years.

Kim graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Graphic Design. He was an accomplished athlete playing collegiately before an injury cut his career short. Upon graduation, Kim began a long 40+ year career in the Oil Gas and Energy field holding several sales manager roles. The majority of his career was spent with General Electric. These roles allowed him to travel the world to various countries including Malaysia, China, Korea, Japan, and the United Kingdom. When he wasn’t traveling the world, he could be found on the sideline cheering on his 3 sons at their various sporting events. Kim had a passion for art and would often scribble in his sketch pad in his free time. He was commissioned to create several fundraiser logos for various school events. He also loved entertaining his grandkids and was always up for watching the latest blockbuster.

Kim is preceded in death by his mother, Jennette C. Jones, and his grandparents, Charles Edward and wife MaeBelle Jones, George Thomas and wife Ethel Maybell Shadowens. He is survived by his wife, Mary K. Jones; sons, Kyle Jones and wife Megan, Blake Jones and wife Holly, Phillip Jones and wife Meghan; grandchildren, Claire Jones, Olivia Jones, and Jacob Jones; father, Charles W Jones; sister, Pamela Jones-Fuentes and her husband Tony; niece, Elizabeth Fuentes.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Kingwood United Methodist Church, 1799 Woodland Hills Dr., Kingwood, Texas 77339 at 2:00 PM.
A special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Willowbrook Methodist Hospital for their outstanding care. Additionally, we want to thank close family friend Kathy LeBlanc for her guidance through this difficult time.
