Obituary for William Murray McCoy

William Murray McCoy III, 58, went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2019 in Houston, TX. He was born on December 5, 1960 in Houston, TX to William Murray McCoy Jr and Sheri L McCoy Cunningham.

He is preceded in death by his father, William McCoy Jr, and his brother, Marcus Keith McCoy.

Murray grew up in Houston and graduated from Madison High School. He then attended college in Kansas and had a long career in the grocery business,

Sports were his passion; especially the Astros and he adored his grandchildren. They were so precious to him.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; mother, Sheri L. Cunningham; son, William McCoy IV; son, Brandon Carr and wife, Stephanie and granddaughters, Weslee, Caedyn and Elyson; son, Evan Carr and wife, Jessica and grandchildren, Sadie and Brodie, all of Houston, TX; uncle, Reagan McCoy and wife, Pat of San Antonio; uncle, Joe Sherrod and wife, Lynn of Katy, TX; aunt, Eunice McCoy of Kerrville, TX; and many cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at The Crossing Church of the Nazarene 14240 Bellaire Blvd., Houston, TX 77083 on March 9, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.

In honor of Murray's love for sports, we are asking you to dress in your favorite team jersey or shirt and come celebrate his life!
