Richard K.(Dick) Jones, affectionately known as 'Papa','Daddaw','Gramps', 'Grandpa', and 'Daddy' a well-loved father, husband, and grandfather went to be with his beloved wife and parents in Heaven at the age of 91. Dick was born in Trinidad, Colorado to Robert H. and Jennie M. Jones. Eventually they moved to Monnett, Missouri where he met June E. Walker who became his wife after being high school sweethearts. Before her passing 5 years ago, they had been happily married for 65 years.

With Dick being an accountant with Shell Oil Company for 35 years, the family lived and traveled the US from Oklahoma, Colorado, California, and finally to Texas.

Dick truly loved and enjoyed his wife and children. He participated in Meals-On-Wheels, was a Little League Coach, and Indian Guide Leader. He was known for his sense of humor and practical jokes. He vowed never to get mad, but to always get even, sporting that well-known sly grin. Even until the end, he would always ask family and caretakers if they were all right, and expressed he never wanted our visiting him to hold us back from something we wanted to do. He was also known for his positive well-being, both physically and mentally, and would respond when asked why he did not become despondent, he would reply, 'I won't allow it!'

He loved Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior and was involved in a variety of activities in his Methodist Churches, such as ushering, evangelizing, and working in the kitchen after Wednesday night suppers.

Dick is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Howard; daughter and son-in law, Elizabeth Jones-Boswell and husband Sam Boswell; daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and husband Christopher Kapacinskas; son and daughter-in-law, Rich and wife Valerie Jones; grandsons, Josh Howard, Tony Dunham , Lucas Boswell, and Joseph Boswell; granddaughters, Marie Boswell, Lily Boswell, Natalia Kapacinskas, and Tiffany Borland; and great-grandsons Evan Freed and Cooper Borland.
