Dave Neinast, age 83, passed away peacefully November 12, 2017, after a lengthy illness. He was born December 28,1933, in Sparta, Wisconsin to Leo and Martha Neinast. He served in the United States Marine Corps before meeting the love of his life, Laurie Barnum Neinast. They were married in April, 1958 and spent 59 years together raising their family and making lifelong memories. Dave was an active member of Houston Elks Lodge #151. He loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Neil and Chauncy, and his sister, Elaine. He is survived by his wife, Laurie; daughter Lisa Weston and husband Curtis of McKinney, Texas; son Lowell Neinast of Houston, Texas; Godson, Chuck Johnson and wife Roz of Marietta, CA; grandchildren, David Neinast and wife Laura, Trevor and Kylie Weston, Angela and Emily Neinast; great grandchildren, Olivia and Milo Neinast; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 8, 2017 at 10:30 AM at First United Methodist Church of Missouri City, TX, 3900 Lexington, Blvd., Missouri City. A gathering of family and friends will immediately follow at Houston Elks Lodge #151, 10150 West Airport Blvd., Stafford. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimers Association or the American Cancer Society.
