Obituary for Dolores Zelaya Ortega

Lolis was born December 11, 1927 in Comayaguela, D.C., Honduras to Adan Cuellar and Emelina Zeleya. She met her husband, Amilcar Ruben Ortega, and moved to Panama where they married on September 5, 1953. When they moved to the states, she took great pride in becoming a U.S. citizen.

She is survived by her son, Carlos; daughter, Maria Elena; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two active furry friends, Harley and Batman (family dogs).

Lolis enjoyed gardening, cooking, arts & crafts, word search puzzles, watching her novelas (Spanish soap operas), and loved music and dancing.

She was loved for her positive energy, loving embrace, and kindness throughout her life. Her golden smile brought so much joy to everyone she came in contact with. She mattered to so many people and lived her life with passion.

Lolis leaves a legacy of serving others, giving happiness to her family, and having a positive spiritual mind set with the love and faith of God.
